The educational discourse branch is dedicated to leading efforts to make public speaking activities like debate, Model UN, and mock trial more accesible to CT and the East Coast.
Welcome to CT Speech & Action (CTSA)! We're so glad you're here. A little about us...
CTSA is a student-led organization dedicated to merging educational discourse and community service, which are also the two core branches.

Community
Service
Another aspect of CTSA is crossing social advocacy into real change and action through our community service team. We address issues every semester!
Many of the founding members and the founders themselves were involved with public speaking, debate, Model UN, mock trial, or a similar extracurricular. The more they trained for upcoming tournaments, the more they learned about modern issues that affected American youth. However, there was no way to actually drive change with words. CT Speech & Action was founded with the idea that both raising awareness and making a real difference were essential components to public speaking.
Through funding from the Rotary Organization, we sponsor trips to various universities and tournaments. The topics we discuss become projects for the community service branch.
